Margaret Alison Bean (formerly Miss Alison Verco, and more usually referred to in the newspapers of the day as Mrs. Arnold Bean) was a popular South Australian socialite, often mentioned by Australian newspaper social columnists such as “Lady Kitty”. A series of letters linked to Alison Verco / Mrs Arnold Bean have apparently been uncovered which contain references to [Jestyn] whom she had apparently hired as a nurse, around the time of interest for the Tamam Shud case.
