Left Luggage
Early in the new year the police had appealed to all boarding house keepers and hotel licensees to advise them if they had any unclaimed luggage that had been left with them before December 1st. On January 14th the police went to Adelaide Railway station to collect case that had been booked in on November 30th, 1948. The case had the ticket number G52703. According to the automatic time register the suitcase had been booked in sometime between 11am and Noon.
